Matt Eberl

Development Manager, Apex Clean Energy

Matt is a Development Manager with Apex Clean Energy, and he is responsible for guiding the project through the development stage. After spending over 20 years in the environmental engineering field and owning his own small business, Matt enjoys working on large renewable energy projects while also helping landowners in rural communities maximize the value of their land. He has a degree in environmental engineering and currently lives in Virginia with his wife and two teenage sons.

Rob Welch

Project Manager, JCG Land Services 

Rob has worked on multiple Apex projects over the past 4 years in the role of project manager for the land acquisition team.  Living in Iowa since 1986, he understands the concerns farmers have about their land and is able to share how wind can work to benefit of both farmers and their communities

Jared Hershberger
Public Engagement Manager, Apex Clean Energy
Jared Hershberger serves as the Public Engagement Manager for Apex Clean Energy, where he leads field operations for the Black Maple Wind project. With deep roots in rural advocacy, Jared began his career assisting his grandfather on the family farm in Indiana. After college, he spent several years working in rural outreach and constituent services for a member of Congress, building trusted relationships across communities. Currently based in Burlington, Jared brings a hands-on approach and a strong commitment to community engagement in advancing energy solutions and advocating for the benefits these projects bring. 

Corey Eberling 

Public Engagement Organizer, Apex Clean Energy 

Corey served 16 years on the Franklin County Board of Supervisors, where he saw firsthand the positive impact windfarms have on local government budgets and community businesses. Corey was instrumental in the development of three phases of a windfarm, which totaled 500 MW of power produced in Franklin County. Corey lives with his family in Iowa.
