At its regular meeting late Thursday morning, the Taylor County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a wind energy conversion systems permit application from Black Maple Wind, LLC, a subsidiary of Apex Clean Energy. Plans call for a 413-megawatt wind project spanning roughly 36,000 acres in northern Taylor County, with up to 110 turbine sites. The board's approval also came after a short presentation from Black Maple Wind, LLC representatives and a public hearing.
